2018 Lake of the Ozarks Eagle Days

Don’t have plans this weekend? No problem! The 18th Annual Eagle Days is taking place this Saturday, January 6th, and Sunday, January 7th. This event is one of the most popular winter events at the Lake of the Ozarks and O’Donnell Law Center has all the information you need.

This is the 18th year that Eagle Days has been at the Lake of the Ozarks. The first live eagle program was held in 1999 and had attracted 651 participants. Last year, there were over 3,700 people that had attended the event which made it one of the most successful Eagle Days. Visitors are urged to bring binoculars and cameras for optimal viewing and photo opportunities of wild eagles at Willmore Lodge and below the Bagnell Dam on the Osage River.

This event is FREE and open to the public. It will take place from 9 am to 5:30 pm on Saturday, January 6th and from 10 am until 4:30 pm on Sunday, January 7th.

Eagle Fun Fact

An interesting fact is on tv and the movies, you always hear a red-tailed hawk call used for a bald eagle. This is because the hawk call is cool and a bald eagle call isn't quite as cool. Hear it for yourself! Check out this link to the Audubon site that has a sample of the bird's call:

Here at O’Donnell Law Center, we are looking forward to Eagle Days this year and we hope you are too. Luckily, the weather will be warmer this weekend which will allow for a more enjoyable time viewing these amazing birds. We hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the 18th Annual Eagle Days at the Lake of the Ozarks.
