Spend Mother's Day at the Lake
“A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." Cardinal Meymillod This Sunday, May 13, is Mother’s Day. This is a holiday that honors motherhood and it is observed in many different forms throughout the world. The weather this weekend is going to be beautiful and there are many great events going on around the Lake of the Ozarks to celebrate that special role model in your life. Mother’s Day Mother’s Day was essentially founded by Anna Jarvis in 1908. It didn’t actually become an official U.S. holiday until 1914. Later down the road, Jarvis denounced the holiday’s commercialization and tried to remove Mother’s Day from the calendar.
